Services at the Atlanta Humane Society
The Atlanta Humane Society provides comprehensive services to pet owners from all over metro Atlanta, the state of Georgia, and beyond. We welcome you to join in any of the programs or services at the AHS.
Comprehensive Pet Assistance Programs and Services
- Animal Admission: Unable to care for your pet? If we have space, the AHS may be able to accommodate your dog, cat, or rabbit. Please call before you arrive.
- Pet Boutique: The AHS has a fully-stocked pet shop with toys, collars and leashes, dog food, and other supplies at a great price!
- Training: The AHS offers a range of training courses to encourage a healthier, happier pet. We offer classes in Dog Obedience Training, Pet First Aid and CPR, Canine Good Citizen, and Pet Behavior Counseling. Or, learn more about teaching Pet Tricks.
- Grief Counseling: If you are dealing with the loss of a pet, we understand. Our professional grief counselor will speak with you for only $5.00 per session. Grief counseling is held for groups.
- Pet Facilitated Therapy: Puppies can brighten anyone's day! We take AHS' adorable, little puppies to facilities all over the city. Interested in participating or having us visit your facility? Learn more.
- Kids & Teens: Take part in the many AHS sponsored events for youth! We offer an Art Contest, literature on How Kids Can Help and How Teens Can Help, AHS Honors Helpers, Mariel Hannah Award, and fun, engaging Children's Books.
