Pet First Aid & CPR Training

For Pet Owners and Pet Care Professionals

pet first aid training

Knowing the correct way to perform cardio-pulmonary resuscitation (CPR) can save animals' lives.

Our certified Pet First Aid Instructors will show you pet CPR, Rescue breathing, the ABC's of pet first aid, checking vitals, assessing for injury, bite and sting care, heat and cold injuries, bleeding protocols, choking management, and more!

Instructor Mailey E. McLaughlin, M.Ed. is the Atlanta Humane Society's Behavior & Training Coordinator, as well as the Education Manager. Evelyn K. Albertson, M.Ed. is currently AHS I.T. Manager, and has been in Humane Education for 12 years. Jennifer Perry is the owner of Safe at Home Petsitting. All 3 instructors are certified by PetTech, the first national training center dedicated to First Aid, CPR, and Care for Dogs and Cats.

The Pet First Aid class is 4 hours and includes the skills outlined above. The 8-hour PetSaver class is the Pet First Aid class, plus information about dental care and senior pet care. Both are a jam-packed combination of lecture, demonstration, and hands-on skill practice. Either is perfect for pet owners and individuals in the pet care industry. Both classes include a workbook, and each participant will receive a completion certificate. These classes are for people only. Please leave your pets at home!

Class Schedule

No classes are scheduled at this time due to AHS renovations. We are sorry for the inconvenience. Plese see www.pettech.net for other instructions in the area, or check back here in December. We will start classes in the New Year.
