Roxy was in such terrible pain when she was brought to us that she could barely lift her head. But with intensive medical care, healthy food and lots of TLC, she quickly recovered and became her frisky self. Roxy now has a loving family with two kids and another dog for new playmates.
As your local animal shelter, the Atlanta Humane Society has been offering hope and help for animals like Roxy and countless other homeless cats, dogs, kittens and puppies for 138 years.
When an animal is abandoned or lost, we provide shelter, nourishing food and medical care while they wait to be reunited with their owners or adopted into a new forever home. We also support spaying and neutering to reduce the number of unwanted cats and dogs.
