Atlanta Humane Society competes for $100k Grant from ASPCA
ATLANTA, GA – The American Society for Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (ASPCA) is offering a $100,000 grant to 1 of 50 participating agencies that adopts the most animals between August 1, 2010 and October 31, 2010. Atlanta Humane Society is stepping up to the plate by launching several programs to motivate adopters.
Starting August 14th, pre-approved adopters will be able to spin “The Wheel of Love” and receive a discount on the price of adoption. Discounts will range from 10% to a free adoption.
"The key here is to motivate adoption without sacrificing the quality of homes our Society Pets go to" said Richard Rice, Executive Vice President of the AHS. "This is one of many ideas we are hoping to kick off in the next few weeks, plenty more are to come".
All pets adopted at this special price will still include all of the customary, high quality services Atlanta Humane Society is known for: a health check, vaccinations, a health guarantee, microchip, 30-day pet insurance and much more.
