Atlanta Humane Society
Celebrates Founders Day Adopt-A-Thon!

ATLANTA, GA – In celebration of Atlanta Humane Society’s Founders Day the shelter is launching a regional effort to find homes for all their animals.

Starting Friday, May 21st and continuing through Sunday, May 30th, 2010, all pets at the shelter will be priced at an all time low of $18.73.  The discounted adoption fee is close to 80% off standard charges but adopting clientele will still have to follow our traditional process for adoption.

“1873 was a landmark year for all animal lovers in Georgia because it’s the year that Atlanta Humane Society was founded” said the Society’s President Carl Leveridge.  Serving the citizens and animals of our community for 137 years Atlanta Humane Society is one of the oldest animal welfare organizations in the country.

Mr. Leveridge continued by saying, “Our intent here is to attract even more people to adoption by making the process more affordable.  Adopters will still have to render ongoing care, but we have many options that help make it affordable”

All pets adopted at this special price will still include all the customary services Atlanta Humane Society is known for: a health check, vaccinations, a health guarantee, microchip and 30-day pet insurance.
