Atlanta Humane Society Hosts Special "Big Love" Valentine's Weekend Adoption Event
In honor of Valentine’s Day, the Atlanta Humane Society is hosting its first annual "Big Love" dog adoption event. From Saturday, February 13, 2010 through Sunday, February 14, 2010 all dogs in our ‘big dog’ adoption room will be $50.00. We’ll also have a $100 '2 Purr 1' special on cats. In addition, any family adopting a new pet from AHS during this event will receive a 10% discount in our pet boutique – valid day of adoption only.
"When most people come to the Atlanta Humane Society, they want to adopt a puppy. But, we have so many older dogs that need loving homes, too. We want to showcase these dogs and let people know they make great pets and are many times easier to care for than puppies," says Carl Leveridge, president of AHS. Leveridge continues, "We love every one of our "Society Pets," but we love it even more when we see them going to a loving, forever home."
All pets adopted from the Atlanta Humane Society have been spayed or neutered, micro chipped, vaccinated, dewormed, and come with a 14-day health guarantee and 30 days of free pet health insurance.
