The Atlanta Humane Society often joins with businesses, clubs, organizations, churches, and neighborhood festivals as a beneficiary of their events to help support its many animal fundraisers. Show your love for the animals by supporting the many animal fundraisers and events that benefit the AHS. See the calendar for these special pet fundraiser opportunities.
Annual AHS-Sponsored Pet Fundraiser Events
The AHS holds numerous annual animal fundraisers and events. These events are a great way to get involved with the Shelter and support our programs and services. We always need volunteers as well as participants for any of our animal fundraisers, so get involved!
Art Contest: Be Kind to Animals Week Student Art Exhibition
Children in grades K-8 can enter their art work depicting what Be Kind to Animals means to them. Deadline for entries: March 31. Awards Ceremony and Exhibition held during Be Kind to Animals Week. Find out more information.
No Ball at All
Yes, it's not a black tie event. In fact, you don't even have to go anywhere. Contributions to the pet fundraiser are made to the AHS, and "party guests" can stay at home, prop up their feet, soak in a bubble bath, and simply relax, knowing that 100% of their donation supports the animals at the Shelter. A thank you party for contributors at the Patron level ($350/individual or $700/couple) is held in a fabulous, private home. Attention Animal Lovers!
Would you like a unique way to brighten every day? You can! We are always accepting entries for our ALL PETS ALLOWED calendar, which showcases beloved furry friends year round. All photo submissions are included in the calendar and proceeds from this animal rescue fundraiser go toward AHS animals. The deadline for your photo entry in the calendar is always August 31st. Pet Parade
Everyone is invited, including the family pet, to the Pet Parade - A Walk for Animals, one of our annual animal fundraisers. The Pet Parade (held in the spring each year) is the premier walk-a-thon for animals in the Atlanta area. This annual event offers owners and their pets fun activities and a way to help the animals of the AHS at the same time! Prizes are awarded to all participants raising the minimum pledge, and a grand prize is awarded to the individual raising the highest total pledge.
