Atlanta Sponsor A Pet Program
Atlanta Humane Society invites people and local businesses to participate in the Sponsor a Pet program, an opportunity to make a difference in the community and in the lives of our orphaned pets in Atlanta. Pet sponsorship through the AHS assists thousands of amazing dogs and cats who are looking for their forever homes. In an effort to place our long-term residents into their new homes, we are calling on Atlanta-area businesses for their help!
People and businesses may sponsor a pet each month by simply covering the adoption fee for that animal. Many of our long-term residents have not been adopted because they are older, have a medical condition, or just don’t stand out in the crowd. By covering the cost of adoption, you are spotlighting an animal in need and allowing adopters to put their own money toward potential medical bills or obedience training.
How Your Business Can Start Pet Sponsorship
For businesses in Atlanta, pet sponsorship is an excellent way to impact the life of a dog or cat without the responsibility of committing to a lifetime pet. During the Sponsor a Pet program, you can create awareness of your participation in the program by blogging about your pet, prominently displaying a picture and information about the pet at your place of business, or using other social media avenues, such as Facebook and Twitter.
Pet Sponsorship Fees
Dogs $50 to $150
Cats $42.50 to $85
In return for your sponsorship of one of our dogs or cats, an 8.5" x 11" or 3" x 5" sign - which is based upon the size of your dog or cat - will be posted on the animal's kennel for the duration of the animal's time at the AHS. The sign will include your company’s logo as well as the following message, “This dog/cat’s adoption fee is paid for by [your company name here].” We will also highlight you and your sponsored animal on our Facebook page as part of our Atlanta Business Sponsored Pets program.
Best of all, you're allowed to choose the dog or cat for the Sponsor a Pet program! Choose one of our sweet dogs or select one of our loving cats. Just make sure to verify the intake date on your chosen pet's page - we are seeking pet sponsorship for our long-term residents, i.e. animals that have been at our shelter for longer than two months.
