Gus' Story

adopt a pet in atlantaDear Atlanta Humane Society,

In early February my husband and I came to Atlanta Humane looking for a little brother for our 2 year old Springer Spaniel. A litter of puppies all with planet names had been rescued recently, and we couldn't resist little "Mercury". A bundle of black and white fur, he was as sweet as could be. An hour later, his name had been changed to Gus and he was on his way to his new home.

Gus has challenged us, surviving a bout with Parvo and not always being quick to follow commands, but his sweet demeanor and love of everyone and everything has more than made up for any problems we've had. He is the Neighborhood Welcome Wagon - any new doggie neighbor gets lots of kisses and love from Gus, and he worships the ground his sister, Gidget, walks on. He is a truly handsome little boy and we thank Atlanta Humane for bringing him into our lives!

Much love,
Andy, Jen, Gidget, and Gus
