Claire's Story

adopt a pet in atlantaDear Atlanta Humane Society,

Two years ago my dad and I adopted Claire, a lab mix, from the Atlanta Humane Society. We fell absolutely in love with her. Since then I have been training her for agility and for her CGC certificate to become a service dog. She's coming along great. Every once in a while I'll take her down to the lake and she jumps off of a rock after sticks and balls and such. She got jumping pretty far, so when I took her to the canine ranch and tried her out on the dock there there was no surprise that she loved it! She went to her first dock diving competition this past weekend and did great! Her farthest jump was 9'1 ft, which was enough to qualify her for finals! In the end she came in 6th place in the beginner division, which was 7 ft- 11'11 ft:) Thanks for giving me this wonderful girl and I'll be sure to adopt from you again.

~Marissa
